This is a stereo digital radio with full Band III, L-Band and FM reception. The stereo output requires headphones or external amplifier. It is capable of decoding all DAB transmission modes from 1 to 4 including 192 kbps. It supports FM RDS and Radio Text.

In that way, the system is very economical in terms of power consumption. It can also be operated through battery power supply. It requires 6 C (R14) batteries or Charge PAK. At normal levels alkaline batteries provide approximately 80 hours whereas Charge PAK provides 40 hours approximately of portable DAB listening.
